Hair Relaxer and Waves

If you desire to wear a style that is free of curls or frizz, our Ionic Hair Straightening procedure will fulfill this wish.

The process works to change the structure of the hair shaft by attaching negative Ions to positively charged wet hair in order to lock in moisture and rid the hair shaft of frizz. The unique process is best suited fro Mediterranean or Caucasian hair and duration results will last up to two years.

A maintenance plan to ionize roots is recommended at varying intervals throughout the year. The process time depends on the length of your hair and we can advise you of the time specifics and projected length of results in person.

Our ionic hair straightening process is so unique that it earned us a spot in the October 2003 issue of "Hispanic" magazine. We have a delightful 2 page spread that will give some enlightenment on the process. Check below to read the article.

October 2003 - Hispanic Mazagine

On a good day, when the weather is cool and crisp, it could be our sexiest asset: smooth, bouncy curls, subtle waves, nice and sleek.   But on a bad day…

Oh, do we, the proud leagues of curly-topped folk know bad hair days.  Those are the days of our strong-willed tresses resist our most valiant efforts to tame them.  They don’t want to bounce, but they don’t want to sit either.  They don’t want to be let down and they don’t want to be put up. They just want to annoy the gel out of us. For years, we have battle back with hot irons and blow dryers and makeshift straightening systems like “the wrap” Remember The Warp? The top hair pulled over a big fruit can and the rest combed clockwise around the

head. And many times we have succeeded in getting our hair to behave just the way we want it to- only to be sabotaged by the deadly, first drop of moisture. That’s when we realized that like our

beloved house pets, our hair simply owns us and we have to be very crafty if we want it our way. It must have been this realization that has driven the nation’s latest hair craze – the “thermal reconditioning” hair straightening system.  And as it often happens in pop life, this one comes to us from Japan.

Japanese hair straightening? Sounds like an oxymoron, granted.  But the system was developed as an intense conditioning, softening and shining treatment for Japanese women. The side effects-- brilliantly straight hair that requires little blow drying or styling -- would make it a hit abroad, particularly among those with so-called Latino hair, curly Caucasian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern hair or otherwise thick wavy heads.
